Vertical Expert Builder

Overview

Turn an existing general-purpose WorkBuddy expert into a vertical domain expert or expert team. This skill is triggered when the user says things like "基于这个专家帮我生成一个XX专家" or "把这个专家改成适合我们行业的".

When to Use

• User references an existing expert and wants a domain-specific version
• User needs an expert for a vertical industry (medical, legal, education, real estate, etc.)
• User wants to combine multiple capabilities (content sources, data inputs, output formats) into one expert
• User explicitly asks to create a new expert based on another expert's capabilities

Workflow

Step 1: Analyze the Source Expert

1. Read the source expert's agent MD file at ~/.workbuddy/plugins/marketplaces/experts/plugins/{expert-name}/agents/{expert-name}.md
2. Read the source expert's plugin.json to understand display fields, category, skills
3. Identify:
   • Core capabilities to keep
   • Limitations for the target domain
   • Missing domain-specific workflows
   • Missing content sources or output formats

Step 2: Determine Expert Structure

1. Ask the user or infer:
   • Expert type: agent (single) or team (multi-role collaboration)
   • For Team type: identify distinct professional domains that need separate agents
   • Display name, profession, description, categoryId, tags, quickPrompts
2. Choose categoryId based on the expert's main output domain from the official list:
   • 05-MarketingGrowth for marketing/growth experts
   • 06-ContentCreative for content creation experts
   • 09-OperationsHR for operations/training experts
   • 12-IndustryConsultant for cross-industry consultants

Step 3: Initialize the Expert Directory
